Chris Rolin's Biography

Chris has been playing guitar professionally for close to 30 years. Rick and Chris have been friends since they were kids playing minor hockey together in Maple Ridge, B.C. Chris is not only known for his great country music riffs, he also plays and teaches several other styles including rock, blues, bluegrass and his personal favorite, jazz.

Chris and Rick have co-written songs but Chris also writes his own material and runs a recording studio, Rolin Sound. In 1998 Chris was named BCCMA Producer of the Year for his work on Shiver 'n' Shake. Numerous Guitar awards have also come Chris's way as he has been awarded the BCCMA's All Star Band Guitar Player of the Year five times, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2002.

Currently Chris is helping Rick produce his new CD and is also performing with current band mate Chris Meister in The Howdy & Bongo Show.

Chris Meister's Biography

Chris is often referred to as The Driving Force behind Rick Tippe and The Kings of Cool. Chris has been playing drums professionally in the Vancouver area since 1983. Chris has the ability to play all styles of music which has always kept him in high demand. In 1993 he became one of the founding members of The Kings of Cool. Chris has won the BCCMA Award for All Star Band Drummer of the Year and performed on all Rick Tippe albums since 1998 with the release of Shiver 'n' Shake.

Recently Chris began performing alongside fellow The Kings of Cool band member, Chris Rolin in The Howdy & Bongo Show. Chris Rolin plays guitar while Chris Meister plays the Djembe.

Bruce Morrison's Biography

Bruce has been playing bass professionally since 1982 in various genres and in several bands. In the early 1990's he started to listen to more country music and liked much of what he heard. Around that time he met Chris Rolin, together they completed some recording projects. One such project was recording songs written by Chris's close friend Rick Tippe. After the recordings were finished Rick started to receive show offers and began promoting his early recordings to radio. With the success, a core group of band members began to form with Chris, Bruce and the addition of Chris Meister on drums.

Bruce has received the BCCMA Award for All Star Band Bass Player of the Year and performed on all Rick Tippe albums since 1998 with the release of Shiver 'n' Shake.

Bruce and the other original members of Rick Tippe's band are still together. With the new CD almost finished and shows on the horizon, Bruce looks forward to seeing both the new and diehard Rick Tippe fans at a show soon.
